gaZbo dean: A Primary Conceptual self-taught artist with no formal or informal art training.gaZbo suddenly began painting in 1997 after being bitten by a deer tick and developing lyme disease at age 50. His children put his first paintings up for sale and “helped me through a very troubled time.” Using mostly house paint and Q-tips and sticks, gaZbo paints primarily from memory, images of people and experiences from his past.gazbo dean is a childhood nickname given to him by his older brother, gaZbo has been painting for 29 years and is currently 78 years old.
